Weāre based in the tristate area of OH-WV-KY with our three pups. Lucas and I both have āday jobsā in addition to GrilledPurpleSnakes! Heās a psychiatrist (thatās right, heās Dr. GrilledPurpleSnakes) while I am a book coach, editor, and proofreader for indie authors.

- What was your very first anime?
- L: I saw YuYu Hakusho as a kid but never really got back into it until my friend introduced me to Goblin Slayer. I guess thatās not technically true because I, along with everyone else, love Dragon Ball Z too š
- K: Technically PokĆ©mon, but I donāt remember watching itājust reading some cards in Kindergarten. However, I do remember watching nearly all of Sailor Moon one Saturday afternoon when I was 14ish. When we picked it back up, it was Goblin Slayer.
- Sub or dubāand whatās the exception to the rule?
- L: I used to be a sub-only person but have switched to almost exclusively dub after getting to meet so many amazing voice actors.
- K: Depends on what Iām doing! If weāre painting, dub. If weāre watching new episodes, sub. The only exception where I think the dub delivers emotion and impact FAR over sub is Solo Leveling.
- Whatās your all-time favorite anime opening theme?
- L: *SIGH* Itās gotta be a tie between Vengeance by coldrain and Bling-Bang-Bang-Born by Creepynuts.
- Ooh, after reading Kattiās answer, make it a three-way tie.
- K: I mean, can it be anything BUT Unravel?
- L: *SIGH* Itās gotta be a tie between Vengeance by coldrain and Bling-Bang-Bang-Born by Creepynuts.
- If I could join any anime guild, team, or squad, which one would it be?
- L: I canāt think of a squad beyond Black Bulls like Katti saidā¦ but as far as anime universe, I would love to be able to manipulate cursed energy like they do in JJK!
- K: Itās a bit of a tie between the Black Bulls and Straw Hats, but Iām giving it to the Black Bullsā¦ as long as Iām born with magic š
- If I had to paint one anime for the rest of my life, it would beā¦
- L: Vinland Saga. And Berserk as a close second.
- K: Probably One Piece. I like painting more than drawing, but Odaās characters are some I love to draw. Plus, there are like a BILLION different characters, so I donāt think Iād get bored.
- How do you want people to feel when they own your art?
- L: āBeauty is in the eye of the beholder.ā I try to work as hard as I can on these to make them look great but ultimately I want people to see what they want in them, whether it gives them a laugh seeing Mash eat cream puffs or it inspires them to surpass their limits, or they are just appreciating a well-written character. I want them to be able to react to it.
- K: Joyful. Seen. Understood. Excited. Like they found something special. I hope when they look at their piece, it makes them smile. Itās even more of a bonus if it reminds them of all the moments that carry significant meaning to them in whatever anime/manga fandom their piece is from.
